Opened app and did the very intuitive tap one place then another and it put a nice wide path of data between locations. Depends heavily on your internet speeds to load the data in a reasonable amount of time. The one suggestion I agree with is pulling flight path data, since planes fly a "great circle" rather than a straight line on long flights.

Love this! Every time I get on a plane and have the chance to look down, I wonder about the things I can see. Finally theres an app for this too! Wonder why it took so long for someone to come up with it.

Was excited to learn about this app with my upcoming trip to Australia fast approaching. I went in to load my map and Australia cant be selected as a start or end point. If this only works in the us, make the map a us map. Very disappointed.

Really awesome app. I learned that I have to have good wifi to download the map and path. if I do it works perfectly!!

Installed it and planned s route. Went to the download map page and it just sat there. Ended up deleting the app. Too bad, would be nice if it worked. Guess Ill continue to use my Garmin.

has anyone tried this on an iphone 6s? the phone loses gps lock quickly during takeoff.

Im in love with this app right now and cant praise it enough. I ran it on 5 cross country trips this month (iPhone 6, whatever the latest update was) and it worked great! It does pause a moment in connecting to satellites within the aircraft. Holding it up to the window helps (great suggestion from their trouble shooting info suggestions within the app). Flying over the southwest had me bouncing in my seat with excitement. I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys traveling and wants to know what it is theyre passing out the window.

This app does not work well offline with downloaded map. Especially when leaving the app and getting back to it. I was not able to get it working again once in flight.

Super cool and informative app. Really wish it displayed formation names in plane mode. "Sandstone" isnt that informative.

Attempts to download geologic maps &POIs fail a lot. And each time, I have to start from the beginning, rather from the point it failed

Wifi connection is good, but after a long wait the chosen tiles for a short path (SF to Utah) wont download. Fails. Say check connection. Sounds like a good app, havent seen it work.

This app is so amazing for people with a geology major!

App worked flawlessly! Great fun knowing where or what you are flying over. Then I put it in car mode and used it for a train trip. Awesome!

I used the app on my iPhone for some recent flights. It was completely useless. Not only did it show uninteresting feature (such as the names of creeks), but it froze completely on the plane.

I love the app, but I would like to change units to ft, mph
